STEVEN EBBEN As an artist-blacksmith, I work with traditional blacksmithing tools: coal fired forge, anvil and hammer, as well as modern cutting and welding equipment. I use these tools to shape and form steel into the elements I use in my sculpture. I bring together moments in history, use technique to bring my creativity into being, line to create movement, shadow and shape to create positive and negative space and this combination of time, place, culture and the relationships they inspire is my expression in art.
